Help YJI!

I have been a part of the Youth Journalism International family for three years. Ever since joining YJI, I have learned so many things about journalism. Did you know that photo captions are known as cutlines in journalism? Or did you know, that -30- is used at the end of each article draft to tell that it is really the end of the draft?

YJI is run by Jackie and Steve. They are both great mentors with a passion for journalism. They know how important it is for the younger generation to be exposed to journalism and they spend hours helping us with our articles. They are not paid for their efforts and rely on donations to support YJI. It’s great what they are doing for youths (people they don’t even know) all over the world.

YJI is holding a fundraiser to raise a minimum of $5000 from 40 donors by July 31st. The reward is a permanent spot in Microsoft’s Give for Youth. My request? Help YJI. And spread the word: tweet, Facebook, blog, etc. 🙂
